2. Overview

Darts-Trainer is a training app for dart throws. The app works offline in principle; your training and game data are stored locally on your device. A user account and the online multiplayer mode are optional and only become active once you sign in or join an online room.

3. Which data we process

a) Local game data. Sessions, throws, statistics and profiles are stored in your device memory (IndexedDB). This data does not leave your device unless you actively export it or use the online mode.

b) Account (optional). For sign-in we process your email address and a display name of your choosing. Sign-in works via a one-time code (OTP) sent by email; no password is stored.

c) Online multiplayer mode (optional). If you join an online game, the room code, your display name and your throws are transmitted to the other players in real time in order to enable playing together.

d) Newsletter (optional). Only if you explicitly consent do we use your email address for product updates. You can withdraw consent at any time.

e) Technical connection data. When you use the account or online features, our processors process technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, timestamp) in order to provide and secure the connection.

4. Purposes and legal bases

Provision of the account and app features as well as online multiplayer: performance of the usage relationship, Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Newsletter and the sign-in itself: consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Operation, security and abuse prevention: legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. Processors and hosting

Supabase (Supabase Inc.) provides sign-in (auth), real-time synchronization and the database. The data is hosted in the European Union (Frankfurt region, eu-central-1). A data processing agreement (DPA) pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Supabase.

Vercel (Vercel Inc.) hosts the web delivery of the app. Insofar as this involves a transfer to third countries, it is safeguarded by EU standard contractual clauses.

There is no advertising and no cross-device tracking. For reach measurement we use exclusively a self-hosted, anonymous method (see section 6), with no sharing with third parties.

6. Reach measurement (Rybbit)

For anonymous reach measurement we use Rybbit, self-hosted on our own infrastructure (besucher.org). The method is cookieless, sets no cross-device identifier and processes no directly personal data. Aggregated usage data is collected, such as the areas visited, the approximate origin at country level and the device/browser type.

Purpose: needs-based design and improvement of the app. The legal basis is our legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Since we host it ourselves, this data is not shared with third parties.

Objection:You can disable the measurement in the app at any time under Profile → Settings → “Anonymous reach measurement”.

7. Retention period

We store account data until you delete your account. Local game data remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app data. Newsletter data until you withdraw consent.

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account directly in the app at any time: Profile → “Delete account”. This permanently removes your auth account and the associated profile. Alternatively, an informal email to dp@dmphgmbh.com is sufficient. You delete local data via “Manage data” in the app or by removing the app data.

9. Your rights

You have the rights of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent given at any time with effect for the future.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority competent for us is the Hessian Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Der Hessische Beauftragte fuer Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Postfach 3163, 65021 Wiesbaden (poststelle@datenschutz.hessen.de).

10. Children

The app is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes

We adapt this policy when the processing changes. The current version is always available at this address.
